As has become tradition at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, the Pro All Stars Series will open the 2014 season with the Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep 150 this Saturday, May 3.
The main event for the PASS North Series is the second event of the season for the regional tour, and the first of three stops scheduled for Beech Ridge. JR Motorsports Nationwide Series driver Austin Theriault, 2013 PASS champion Cassius Clark and second-generation driver DJ Shaw all visited PASS Victory Lane at the track last season.
Qualifying for the three divisions, plus the Amsoil NELCAR Legends Tour, begins at 3 p.m. Grandstand tickets are $20 for adults, with children ages 12 and under admitted FREE.
There will be practice sessions on Thursday, May 1, and Friday, May 2, from 2-6 p.m. each day. The grandstands will be open free of charge each day.
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway is Maine’s only NASCAR-sanctioned short track. In addition to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, which competes from May through September each season, the track hosts the 10-week VIP Thursday Thunder series from June through August, and Car Wars on Friday nights in August.
This year’s NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season begins on Saturday night, May 24, with the Pro Series, Sport Series and Wildcat divisions.
