Cassius Clark of Farmington, Maine, became the first repeat winner in the PASS North Series this season, getting by veteran Mike Rowe on a restart with less than 50 laps remaining and then driving away to win the Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep 150 at Beech Ridge on Saturday, July 6.
Clark has two wins, three Top-5s and four Top-10s in four races this season.
“Our guys have been working really hard on our flat-track program,” Clark said in Victory Lane. “I knew from the first couple of laps in practice that we were going to be pretty sporty.”
In NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action, Garrett Hall of Scarborough recovered from a spin and damage one night earlier to easily win the 35-lap Sport Series feature Saturday. Dan Bean of Alfred pulled off a similar feat in the Wildcat main event, winning that 30-lap race after retiring early with mechanical trouble on Friday night.
Brandon Barker of Windham scored his third Road Runner feature win of the season.
Andy Shaw won the 40-lap PASS Modified feature, a victory he dedicated to his wife.
“My wife just beat cancer,” Shaw said, fighting back tears in Victory Lane. “This is for her.”
