SCARBOROUGH — Today, Friday, October 6, Beech Ridge Motor Speedway’s Cusack family organized disaster relief shipping to Houston, Texas, in the wake of the devastating Hurricane Harvey.

Scarborough school students collected dozens of boxes of essential school and home items for students of Houston’s Hambrick Middle School who lost everything in Hurricane Harvey’s storm and flooding last month.

The UPS Store in Scarborough provided shipping logistics. Beech Ridge is funding the cross-country delivery.

A follow-up story with more details about the delivery will be available next week.
